A Wave of Change

Our 3rd Annual World Ocean Day Planting & Cleaning Event!

This World Ocean Day, Ocean Sole, Distant Relatives, Friends of Nature, Sustainable Jamii, Kivukoni School, and Rock the Ocean will be partnering with the Leaf Charity to plant mangroves across our coastlines. We will be targeting areas of popular turtle hatchling sites, furthering our TurtleSafe Program initiatives.

On June 8th, we will be hosting a family-friendly event from 9 am - 3:30 pm. This day includes:

  • Educating 100+ students from local schools
  • Massive group beach cleanup
  • Lessons on upcycled art
  • Networking with other sustainable companies and individuals
  • Trivia, games, and so much more!

Your donation will go towards the following:

  • Providing volunteers with a warm meal
  • Providing volunteers with snacks & water
  • Providing transportation for volunteers
  • Purchasing supplies to plant mangrove trees
  • Purchasing supplies to aid in our beach clean efforts (gloves, eco-bags, etc)
  • Providing student activity materials

Thank you so much for your charitable donation!

HOSTING A BEACH CLEAN UP HELPS US

Support Impoverished Kenyan Communities & Cleanup Our Coastline

We gather our raw materials for our art from the ocean and waterways. As our process is manual, not machine, we take that ocean trash and create unique artwork from the flip-flops.

In turn, jobs are created, our beaches are cleaned, and our ecosystem is improved.

We are always in need of support to keep these beaches clean and help local communities recycle.

Whether it is donating for a specific beach clean up, supporting coastal communities for recycling, buying machinery, or sponsoring a beach after yourself, YOU CAN HELP!
